Deaf Club Visit

Deaf Club Visit

On July 3rd around 45 children and older students made their way to the Stubbington Deaf Club. Each school group had written and researched their own sketches which were based on the topics they had been learning.

Anne Dale beginners performed sketches about animals and colours and signed “Somewhere over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland.

Anne Dale and Hammond Improvers performed sketches about school life ( favourite subjects, favourite teachers and school clubs). They also performed “Wonderful World” by Sam Cooke.

Crofton School students had been learning about the history of education for Deaf children and gave presentations about this, which was very well received by the members of Deaf club, who were so pleased that their history was being told. They performed “Imagine” by John Lennon.

Our next trip to Deaf club will be in December, when we will be performing various songs and poems about Christmas.
